Ishan Sarkar is the Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets for HSBC Private banking and Wealth – since June 2022, Southeast Asia with 17 years of industry experience. He is responsible for Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Structured Products for Private Banking and Wealth. Previously, he was Head Structured Products for HSBC Private banking.

Prior to HSBC PB, Ishan was from Citi IB where he led the Global Product Strategy team in APAC where he was in charge of product development across asset for Financial intermediaries. He also led the initiative in APAC to develop the platforms for each asset class to offer products to Financial Intermediaries. Prior to that he was in Cross Asset Solutions Sales team, delivering flow and non flow structured products to external Private Banks. Before Citi, Ishan spent 8 years in UBS as FX and Commodities Structurer and FX Derivatives Trading Quant.

Ishan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) from the Nanyang Technological University.
